Parents' Forum

We are always looking for ways of improving our school and our class teachers are always happy to talk through any queries, suggestions or concerns you may have. We want our children to be safe, happy and learning – if you feel we are not achieving this, we need to know as soon as possible, so that we can put things right!

If your child’s class teacher is busy with children in the mornings / at the end of the day, or you are unable to be here before or after school, you can always contact the secretaries in the School Office and they will ensure that your child’s class teacher sets time aside to speak with you at your earliest possible convenience – either in person or by telephone - so that any queries or concerns can be resolved quickly and effectively.

However, we also know that some challenges and opportunities need to be discussed in greater detail and have recently set up a new Parents’ Forum to do just this.

The purpose of the Parents’ Forum is to provide parents with regular opportunities to discuss school issues and procedures with the Head teacher and to support the school’s Leadership Team and Governing Body in making changes that will benefit families within our community.

These take place once a half term in school time and are currently focussed around the issue of developing information-sharing between school and home, particularly for new families arriving through the school year. Members of the group also act as parent class representatives.

New Members Welcome
If you would like to join our Parents’ Forum or have a suggestion or idea for discussion, please contact Sue Best at school (office@wyton.cambs.sch.uk) or Jo Phillips (head@wyton.cambs.sch.uk).
