Y6 Leavers' Party
Y6 Leavers With our Y6 children about to embark on the next stage of their education, their traditional end of year party took place following their final performance of the play. Plenty of fun and laughter followed as the children played with a giant ball, Twister and with water bombs. Click here for photos. Y6 Leavers
KS2 Production of Pirates of the Curry Bean

This play was almost twice the length of those attempted previously but the hard work paid off as the children produced plenty of laughs, some of them intentional and others not quite so. Wyton Marathon
Wyton Marathon 2 The school held its annual Wyton Marathon just before half-term with the children and a significant number of staff and parents running and walking around the two courses. With the Nepalese earthquakes only having reecently occurred it was felt that raising money for the families affected would be an appropriate cause and we're hoping around £600 will be donated as a result. Y3/4/5 Trip to Verulamium

Christmas Music Concerts and some Strangely Dressed Visitors!

Concert 2

The end of term again saw the children in all classes performing some of the music and songs that they've been working on over the previous few months. In the morning there was singing from KS1 as they performed a song from their play and all of the KS2 children played their recorders. In the afternoon we were treated to some Christmas songs from KS1 and the volume was raised as the children from Y2 onwards took part in playing music making use of African and samba drums. As the hall was packed with parents it was an excellent end to the term. Click here to see some more pictures from the two concerts.

The morning also saw a visit from a large bunch of very stangely dressed army service men and women. Turkeys and penguins were amongst a wide variety of bizarre costumes worn as we were entertained with a rendition of We Wish You a Merry Christmas.

Heart FM Christmas Song Recording
Heart FM recording The school was visited by Heart Radio who made a recording of us all singing a song. Entitled 15 Sleeps to Go, it will be broadcast on 10th December as part of the station's lead up to Christmas. Before the children and staff did the real thing, they were 'entertained' by Mrs. Phillips, Mrs. Green and Mr. Tuxworth singing the song as a solo. Hopefully that won't be broadcast!
