Peer Mediation
Wyton on the Hill Primary School operates a Peer Mediation service.

This scheme is designed for children to take ownership of their behaviour and attitude towards others without requiring adult intervention.

Selected children in Y5 and Y6 undergo rigorous training over several weeks in order to learn the skills required in becoming a Peer Mediator. Their role is to implement the strategies learned during the training whilst out on the playground in order to resolve any conflict between children.

There is a Peer Mediator display within the KS2 corridor, where the rota of Mediators for the week is easily seen. Also displayed are posters and leaflets designed by the children. The mediators are easily identifiable by their red tabards whilst they are out on the playground.
