Wimpole Y4 Visit to Wimpole Hall Wimpole
June 2017

It was a very hot day as the Y4 children visited Wimpole Hall and Farm to learn about seasonal foods and how the animals are cared for.

We were given a tour of the walled garden where the volunteers explained about the types of fruit, vegetables and herbs that are grown.

11 o'clock is a very noisy feeding time for the pigs so we witnessed their eagerness to grab all the food offered.

The children were given the opportunity to practise their cow milking skills (with varying degrees of success!) and to look at the other animals.

We finished the day with time to play in the adventure playground.
